NEW A tiny menu bar app for macOS

Press F10.
Save the clip.

BloxClipper lives in your menu bar while you play Roblox, always rolling in the background. Hit F10 and the last 30 seconds land as an MP4 on your disk. F9 for 60. That's the whole app.

01 — HOW IT WORKS

It records the past, not the future.

BloxClipper keeps a rolling buffer of just the Roblox window — game audio included — in memory. When you hit a hotkey, it saves that buffer to disk as two MP4 files: one landscape, one vertical.

01

Open Roblox.

BloxClipper detects the game window and starts buffering automatically. The menu bar icon lights up. Window-only capture — no other apps bleed in.

Recording · Kick A Lucky Block · 60s
02

Hit F10 or F9.

F10 grabs the last 30 seconds. F9 grabs the last 60. No need to leave the game — the hotkey just works.

03

Two files appear.

Landscape 16:9 for YouTube. Vertical 9:16 for Shorts and TikTok. Both with game audio, saved side-by-side to a local folder you choose.

02 — WHAT'S IN IT

A short list of things it does.

And a longer list of things it doesn't. No streaming. No scene editor. No overlays. No account.

30s or 60s rolling buffer

Always keeping the last minute in memory while you play. No disk churn.

16:9 and 9:16 in one pass

Landscape and vertical exports written together. Both with game audio.

Window-only capture

Just the Roblox window. Your Discord, Safari, and notifications stay out of the clip.

Captures game audio

Pulls audio straight from Roblox. No mic, no Discord, no system beeps.

100% local

No account, no cloud, no telemetry. Files sit on your disk.

05 — FAQ

Reasonable questions.

More? Email [email protected].

01 Does it slow my game down?
No. We use the macOS hardware encoder (VideoToolbox), so capture typically sits at 1–2% CPU on Apple Silicon. You won't notice it.
02 Where are the clips?
By default, in ~/Movies/BloxClipper/. Change it in Settings. Or just hit "Open clips folder" from the menu.
03 Does it capture my whole screen, or just Roblox?
Just the Roblox window. Window-only capture means your Discord, browser, and notifications never end up in your clip — even if they're sitting on top of it.
04 Does it record audio?
Yes — game audio only. We pull audio straight from Roblox, so your mic and Discord aren't in the clip. (You can mute it in Settings if you prefer silent clips.)
05 Do you upload anything?
No. There's no account system, no telemetry, no cloud step. The app talks to your disk and that's it.
06 Do I need screen recording permission?
Yes — macOS requires it for any tool that captures the screen. The menu has a shortcut straight to that System Settings panel for first-time setup.
07 Does Pro have a subscription?
No. Pro is a one-time $14.99 payment via Lemon Squeezy. You get a license key, paste it in the app, and you're done — forever.
08 Will there be a Windows version?
Not right now. BloxClipper uses macOS-specific frameworks (ScreenCaptureKit, VideoToolbox) that don't have a Windows equivalent. macOS only for the foreseeable future.
